Plums are one of our favorite fruits, there are so many different varieties you don't know where to start. Luckily our local farmer's market has some of the most knowledgeable farmers who help us choose their best produce every Saturday. Add a little crème de cassis to make the plum flavor pop! Cheers!
Ingredients:
1 lb black plums
1/2 cup sugar
1/8 cup water
1 cup heavy cream
2 tbsp creme de cassis
Directions:
1. In a medium saucepan set on medium heat, add plums, sugar and water and cook down the plums. Remove from heat and let it come to room temperature. Mash the plums through a strainer with juices to remove the stone and skins
2. Add heavy cream and cassis to blender and blend everything until smooth
3. Pour into ice cream maker and freeze following manufacturer's instructions
