Peach Granita

Peach Granita, what else can I say? Ripe, puréed peaches frozen and served, this sweet treat will make anyone happy, AND it's incredibly easy to make! We are in the process of moving so I currently can't find my ice cream machine, but don't worry, we found the blender! Serve this granita with some bubbly and you have a treat that will be enjoyed by all. Cheers!



Ingredients:

5 large ripe peaches (for sweetest flavor I use yellow)
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup water

Directions:

1. Remove the skin and core from the peaches (see method on easy peeling from this post!)
2. Add all contents to blender and purée until smooth
3. Add mix to a shallow dish and place in freezer for 1.5 hours
4. For the next 3-5 hours you will be raking the purée with a fork every hour until desired consistency, but don't worry if you don't have the time
5. If working on a tight schedule you can make this treat the day before and 1.5 hours before serving, remove from freezer and rake with a fork until desired iciness, pop back in freezer for at least 15 minutes then serve!
